Taken from the balcony this photograph show the view out across the terrace and heated swimming pool towards the sea with both Lagos and Portimao visible on the coast in the distance. The surrounding hillside is lush and wooded. Birdsong echoes around and one can hear woodpeckers and cuckoos among the many sounds. At night it is common to hear owls calling across the valley.

The garden is undergoing some refurbishment in 2007 but already is well stocked with orange and lemon trees together with walnut, fig and cork oak. There are a wide range of flowers growing all around.
